A beautiful, sunny day, a day of great celebration: The opening of the KINDERLAND kindergarten in native German with intensive English.
A new building was waiting for us, new furniture, a large transport with teaching materials, computers, toys and new games (a van - collection made in AUSTRIA) arrived at CLUJ CUSTOMS as if by magic from a former colleague-girlfriend of Mrs. DIRECTOR.
The courtyard was too small for how many people attended the consecration of the building and the ribbon cutting of the kindergarten inauguration.....the gate opened wide and the street was full of guests (officials from ISJ CLUJ, the City Hall represented by Mr. Deputy Mayor BOROS and other 9 representatives of the local council and the mayor's office, journalists, TV...but especially parents from the former Kindergarten no. 17 happy to have where their children learn.
After the hospitality to the guests with a special protocol prepared with a lot of painstaking care followed the organization and distribution of staff and children by groups, by rooms (each room had a different color with matching furniture in that color, for 2002 was a novelty in Cluj).Beautiful and satisfying days followed: in the terrace behind the unit (which later became my small dwarf class-group) we started to unpack the surprises sent from AUSTRIA, we were choosing games and toys according to the age of the children.....we were so excited about what we received, I had never seen such specimens before....we were enjoying ourselves as if we were children. But I have no words to express the children's joy when every day we brought them new and new games and toys ....at a certain point they had to be stored in the terraces and changed weekly.This was the beginning..
